Siege

Is an artist who combines subject matter with the materials, blending the various tools and media together in a rich fabric. Each piece is an exploration of the subject, as well as an explosion or wash of each element. His art was influenced by Viking at a young age as he was close to Viking Scientist, Jim Tillman, and incorporated even at a young age, the work of VIking into his own expression of planet Mars. He continues to explore and expose details of subjects within each piece so that studying is an exciting exploration in itself.

Tom Dahl

Tom Dahl has been a space enthusiast and avid follower of the Viking project, from the launches in 1975 to today. His current project is to document the lander hardware development and flight configuration in detail, which has taken him to museums and NASA facilities around the country. He has amassed over 2,000 detailed photographs and nearly as many individual measurements of actual hardware. His work provides an inside look at the hardware and is based on carefully planned and executed photographs, measurements, and additional information from various Viking documents. His work represents another manifestation of Vikings’ influence beyond the mission, and dedication that reflects that of the Vikings themselves.
